
The European Commission launched a 44-seconds video clip featuring sex scenes that is meant to improve EU image in the eyes of Europeans.
The clip named "Film Lovers Will Love This!" was launched on YouTube channel as a part of campaign that highlights such topics as climate change, and human rights, road safety, integrations of immigrants and others. However, none of the 46 other clips promoted by EC had such a huge success as clip that shows erotic scenes from popular European films. the clip was already viewd by more than a million people.
The fast episodes of heterosexual and homosexual couples having sex in different places are filled with moans and groans ending with the final slogan "Let's come together".
The video clip already raised numerous argues among EU officials. It was criticized for sexual content, especially those ones featuring homosexual partners.
Godfrey Bloom of Britain's from U.K. Independence Party, said that this clip is a "soft porn" , while EU Lawmaker Maciej Gierthych from Poland frowned at commission saying the clip is immoral.
The European Commission spokesman Martin Selmayr opposed to these remarks saying that there were no complains about the video. The clip was presented at Berlin Film Festival in February as a part of media campaign.
